Pressing the small button on a hairspray can can be difficult for anyone with arthritis, limited grip strength, reduced hand mobility, or weakness in their fingers. Our Hairspray Assistant transforms a traditional hairspray can into an easy-to-use trigger sprayer, allowing the spray to be activated with a comfortable squeeze of the hand.

Specially Designed for Taller Hairspray Cans

The Hairspray Assistant is an adaptation of our popular Spray Deodorant Assistant, Spray Sunscreen Assistant, and Foot Spray Assistant. While it uses the same easy-squeeze trigger design, this version has been specially developed to accommodate hairspray cans that are considerably taller than standard deodorant, sunscreen, and foot spray cans.

It is designed for aerosol cans measuring approximately 54.9 mm in diameter and can accommodate tall hairspray cans like the nearly 10-inch can shown in our product photos.

Comfortable and Easy to Control

Instead of pressing the hairspray nozzle directly with one finger, simply squeeze the trigger as you would with a spray bottle. The larger handle provides a more comfortable grip and helps distribute the pressure across the hand, reducing the strength and finger dexterity needed to operate the can.

The adjustable trigger can be repositioned to align with the spray button on cans of different heights and styles. Simply loosen the included wing nut, move the trigger into position, and tighten it securely.

The Story Behind the Design

This product was created after one of our customers reached out to us with a problem. She loved using her Spray Deodorant Assistant, but she was still having difficulty operating her hairspray can.

Her hairspray can was nearly 10 inches tall, which made it too tall for our existing spray assistants. Rather than simply telling her that we did not have a product that would work, we purchased the same hairspray and began adapting our design.

After several prototypes and a complete redesign of the frame, we created a taller version that provides the same comfortable trigger operation while properly supporting longer aerosol cans. What began as a solution for one customer is now available to help others who experience the same difficulty using their hairspray.
